YWAM Stones Hope
Newport P.O. Box 7
Manchester

Reflection
In September of 2004 I started on a journey that would change my life forever. I did my Discipleship Training School (DTS) and my life was ruined for the ordinary. This step I never regret taking for it was during this time that God spoke volumes in my life. I learnt to hear His voice and this transformed my thinking. I would encourage every believer to this course.
Following my DTS I completed Foundations in Community Development (FCD). This course taught me that true transformation begins from within. I also learnt that our sins are not only a hindrance to us as individuals but also our communities and our nations.
Teachers for the Nations Jamaica (TFNJ) was what God implanted on my heart to do, so in 2006 I moved to the Mandeville campus, Stones Hope. I believe that our children are indeed our future and as we disciple them we can transform nations.
On completion I became an assistant teacher and then moved on to be the grade six teacher and I have been for the past three years.

This is where they learn to develop a deeper relationship with God and build close relationships. One could say this is a mini DTS.

Bethel Christian School (BCS)- “Discipling the Nation through Education”

It is said "if you want to change a nation, teach her children." This is our goal in teaching the children at Bethel Christian School. We do this using the Bible as the core curriculum of every subject knowing that we are not only training them for time but for eternity.

Currently we are working to build bathrooms for the school in close proximity; this will facilitate both teachers and students of the school.

Summer News – Two teams came to partner with us in advancing the kingdom through door to door evangelism and vacation bible school. They also helped with the needs on our campus. During hurricane Ivan a lot of our building lost their roofs. For some time now our chapel has been without a ceiling. Praise be to God with the help of friends from Canada this task has finally been accomplished. The Great House was also repainted.

Kings Kids camp- is a Ministry of Youth With A Mission geared towards children ages 5-16 yrs. The theme for this year was “Joshua Generation- Leading Righteously, Following Righteousness.” The aim of this camp is to disciple children in the ways of the Lord so they can impact their generation. There were 36 children in camp this year.

Foster Care- A place of refuge I would say for children whom God has sent our way. God indeed sets the lonely into families. Through this children are raised in Godly families and the heart of God is greatly revealed.

Retreats
Local church or youth groups use our campus in this manner.

Staff Conference
As a ministry (YWAM Jamaica) we meet every year to pause and reflect on the year that has passed what lessons there were to be learnt and how to move forward. This helps to knit us together as a family and as a ministry.

Unreached People Groups

Unreached people groups are peoples in parts of the world where there is no indigenous expression of the gospel, no indigenous Christian church, and a minute ratio of long term missionaries to the unsaved population.
As believers we are called to go. This aspect of going can happen in different ways.
1. You can pray for those who are going.
2. You can give of your time, finances and moral support.
3. You can also go

As a ministry (YWAM Jamaica) we have adopted a people group from the Gambia in West Africa called the Serahule or Soninke tribe. We have short term missions’ trip going to the Gambia each year. You can be apart of it.

Currently
I have been accepted to do WISE- School of Worship, Intercession, Spiritual Warfare and Evangelism in Colorado, USA. This is set for the 25th of June 2012. I would also like to go to Kenya to serve for two years. My ultimate goal is to raise children from across the world as my own teaching them the love of Christ through worship and intercession.

Praise Report
• In being apart of YWAM I have to raise my own finances. A small contribution (staff fees) is given by each staff member each month to help with the basic needs of the ministry. At the end of last year I owed $200,000 JAD, which was paid off. Praise Be To God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

• One of the foster children here has always dreamed of attending Bishop Gibson High School for Girls after completing the Grade Six Achievement Test (GSAT). Her dream was finally realized when the results came out in June. This shows that all things are possible with hard work and perseverance.

Prayer Needs
• More teachers for BCS
• Finances to help with the building of the bathrooms
• Finances- staff fees
• Health and protection
• Staff Laptops/Cameras
• Computers for BCS
• For God’s dreams to be fulfilled in the ministry and my life
