Dear Friends,
Greetings from Youth With A Mission!!
I want to take this time to thank you for all the prayers and encouragement as I serve the Lord in this ministry. God has been good to me. I continue to thank Him for life and good health and for the awesome opportunity and privilege of serving with Him on this side of the Harvest field!
Anna is doing well and is excelling in school. I thank the Lord that I am able to be a part of her life for this time. She returns to her mother (my sister) after school gives Summer holidays. I will miss her.
Ministry Update:
Bethel Christian Prep School.
This is where I have the privilege of serving. My days begin and end here. I am the Grade 6 teacher. I have four students and they all took the Grade Six Achievement Test (GSAT) for High School. I am glad to be a part of these children's lives. I have the opportunity to help in molding their minds towards the things of the Lord.
The motto of the school is “Transforming a nation through Education” and it is one that we do not take lightly.
Every student who passes through this school must experience the love and compassion of the Lord through us as teachers. Prayer point: Please pray that the Lord will raise up more Godly teachers in our nation.
Team & Mercy Ministries:
We had three teams come from the USA and Canada. All three were involved in construction, while two visited children's homes and the infirmary for abandoned elderly in our society. We praise the Lord that because of their effort and sacrifice, The Great House is painted and the windows are in, the Children's dining room has a new roof and a family in our community who lost their roof during the hurricane is now sleeping in their house again. Praise the Lord. Please continue to pray for the teams as they come. They are a valuable part of our ministry.
Teachers For the Nations;
The school was postponed owing to the decline in health of our director who is also the school's director. She is doing better now and is planning for the school in September 2009.
Crossroads Discipleship Training School (CDTS):
Praise the Lord the DTS has resumed! After a long absence, since Hurricane Ivan in 2004, we
now have the CDTS in place again. The students completed their outreach in Germany and Italy. We prayed that the Lord opened their eyes to the spiritual needs in Europe!
Church Seminars:
YWAM was invited to share on Missions at Fellowship Tabernacle in Mandeville and I was a part
of the team.
The focus was the need for Jamaicans to answer the call to to go to the nations. We ministered through testimonies and music. Our director, Janet Sue Whetzel, also shared. The response was very positive. I felt very privileged being part of the team and I hope to continue in supporting these seminars.
Foster Care:
We thank God for the privilege of helping to raise up the next generation through Godly influence to transform their peers and their nation. Please pray with us that we will truly be a light to the children as they come.
I NEED YOUR HELP!
As you know, YWAM is a volunteer missionary organization. This means that every staff member is responsible for raising his/her financial support. I have been experiencing difficulty for some time now with my finances and so I am in arrears with my basic living expenses, which covers housing – electricity, water, etc. I know the Lord is no man's debtor and so I am appealing to my family in the Lord for help in this financial crisis. I need to raise US$2000 - $1500 to pay off my debt and $500.00 to see Anna and I through to the Summer.
The Word of God says “we have not because we ask not.” I am asking. I am stepping out in faith as I need to see my bill cleared off before the Summer break! Please take this need to the Lord in prayer. I am believing the Lord for 20 persons who will give $100.00 each. This may not be the Lord's plan so I am open to whatever He does.
Please let me know if you are able to help and how much you will be contributing.
Thank you for praying with me on this.

MacKenzie who is suffering from infected varicose veins.
For God's will and purposes to be done in this ministry
that our lives will always reflect the grace and mercy of God
Thank you again for your prayers and support.
